This event will be a combination Arts/Crafts and MVCC Wordsmith Authors collaboration. A showcase of local Fine Artists displaying original paintings, prints, and notecards. Crafters will include items such as jewelry, woodworking, soaps and more.
It will be an indoor and outdoor event!

Fine ArtistMegan BeckerAs a New Jersey artist, Megan takes inspiration from the nature that surrounds her, and can often be found on local trails with her traveling watercolor set. She's inspired by organic forms such as flora, fabrics, and the female figure. Megan works in a variety of mediums, including oils, watercolors, and mechanical pencils, seeking new ways to capture dramatic lighting and subtle tones. |

Fine ArtistKathy DeBlasioKathy attended the School of Visual Arts and the DuCret School of the Arts, and taught oil painting at DuCret before starting her own business, creating murals, and wall and ceiling paintings. She currently runs the Main Street Frame Shop in Califon. |

Stained-glass ArtistClarke DeBlasioClarke creates stained-glass pieces and enjoys carpentry. |

Fine ArtistLynn EberenzBorn and raised in New Jersey, Lynn always enjoyed drawing, painting, and other artistic pursuits. She studied at the Morris County Art Association under an award-winning painter. While maintaining her career as a marketing communications manager, she’s rediscovered the unmatched joy and freedom that painting gives her. |

Jewelry CrafterDaniello CaroDanielle is an animal lover, animal welfare advocate, and first-time author. Her rescue dog, Sydney, inspired her to write her first children's book, A Home for Sydney. She also enjoys crafting and jewelry making, and has designed her own beaded jewelry, finding it both relaxing and therapeutic. |

Fine ArtistEileen Connor CallahanIn 1980, Eileen earned a degree in Fine Arts from Providence College ... and after four decades of delay, she has found her joy again. Her prints, stationary, and home decor items range from 6 x 6 inches up to four-feet square. She tries to capture the feeling of a place and share it with others. |

Fiber ArtistCarol Krickus of Changewater DesignsCarol Krickus of Changewater Designs is a self-taught fiber artist who translates her love of fabric, color, and texture to create lavender sachets, small hanging collages, and flaxseed and lavender heat wraps. Changewater Design's mission is to use rescued interior design sample fabrics or discontinued and mill-end fabrics, keeping them out of the waste stream. Carol is inspired by nature, small treasures, and found objects, and the colors and patterns found in her extensive collection of fabric scraps. |

Wood Working ArtistSteve NicholsonAfter decades as a custom home builder and master carpenter, Steve made a natural progression into cabinet making and artisan woodworking. Most of the homes that Steve built are in Northern Hunterdon County. He was lucky to have been vetted by the MinWax Company to work on their marketing programs, fabricating, finishing, and performing production duties with their campaigns. These days, he mostly does woodturning, and he tries to use locally sourced wood for his projects. |

Fabric CrafterSusan BleignierSusan is a textile artist, educator, and painter. Her work includes hand-sewing repurposed fabric inspired by nature and fun. Sewing whimsical wool flowers and trees, painting fabric patches, and creating scrappy bit collages keeps her busy during art market season. Texture and color are a big part of Susan's artwork, and she tries to maintain a zero-waste policy when creating. Every scrap gets used in some aspect of her work. She uses her hiking adventures for inspiration and says her art making helps keep her sane. |

AuthorD.J. MurphyMurphy has won awards for his screenplays and has published a number of books of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. The Califon resident organized the first book festival held at the Middle Valley Cultural Center, and is the founder of the Middle Valley Wordsmiths. |

AuthorNeil MacNeillNeil grew up in a small town on the edge of New Jersey’s Pine Barrens, and spent many childhood summers exploring fire roads and moss-covered ruins there. His novels are informed by these experiences. The Long Valley resident is also a Middle Valley Community Center trustee. |

Previous Event 2023
It was a beautiful day for this May 2023 event. The showcase work of our local artists exhibited wonderful paintings, photographs, jewelry, ceramics, decorative bird houses, stained glass, multimedia art pieces, whimsical sculptures, wood working and more.
